TRANSFORMATION EXPERTS

Meet Our Transformation Experts

Our trainers are experienced and specialize in helping women in every stage of life and ability.  Meet our team below!

Karolina Amelanczuk

Karolina began her fitness journey by overcoming her initial fear of weights and shifting her focus from just being skinny to becoming strong.

She learned through experience that strength training not only transformed her physique but also made her mentally stronger.

After realizing the importance of nutrition and how you can't out-train a bad diet, she pursued a certification in nutrition.

Her dedication to fitness led her to compete in bodybuilding, where she has placed among the top competitors.

Karolina specializes in weight training, nutrition coaching, endurance, kickboxing, and more. One thing is certain, women that train with Karolina keep coming back year after year as she helps them stay motivated and continue to improve.

With nearly a decade of experience, Karolina has been a trainer with Alana Life & Fitness for 9 years, almost since its inception 10.5 years ago, making her an expert trainer at Alana.

She is passionate about self-improvement and now uses her knowledge to help others become the best versions of themselves. Her philosophy is simple: "I do what I love, and I love what I do. Every day is a blessing for me."Karolina Amelanczuk"

Nancy Golike

Nancy Golike is a master trainer teaching pilates and functional movement in the greater New York City area for over 20 years. She began studying Pilates while receiving her MFA in Dance from Temple University, and subsequently came under the private tutelage of Teacher of Teachers, Karen H. Carlson.

She soon began teaching private clients at Ms. Carlson’s studio and was certified in 2004 by her Advanced Apprenticeship Teacher Training Program.

In addition to developing and maintaining a large private clientele, Nancy has taught group classes in college dance departments, gyms, wellness centers, and yoga studios, and has also developed workshops on pilates from movement and functional perspectives for advanced students and teachers, as well as teacher training seminars.

Her current teaching homes are in a Manhattan based Pilates Studio, as well as Alana Life & Fitness in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where she started a transformative program called Functional Pilates, designed for movers of all levels.

Nancy has made remarkable impacts through her Functional Pilates program at Alana Life & Fitness.

She helped a member in physical therapy for a frozen shoulder regain significant mobility by her third session, and another member with balance issues and a fear of falling was able to leave her walking cane behind.

Nancy’s unique program has even helped the owners of Alana Life & Fitness transform their posture by restacking and aligning their bodies, alleviating recurring body pain caused by imbalanced muscles.

Movement in its highest function is the focus of Nancy’s teaching practice. Working from the perspective of kinesiology, biomechanics, and functional anatomy, she utilizes pilates and other movement systems as frameworks to facilitate neuromuscular re-patterning, sound structural organization, and free and efficient movement.

Nancy trains professional performers from many fields in performance enhancement, works with fellow instructors and bodyworkers on refinement and expansion of their own movement practice, and helps fitness clients gain strength and mobility.
